The Flyers have already won the Trevor Zegras trade.

He’s the team’s goals and points leader and he comes into Thursday’s clash against the Buffalo Sabres on a four-game scoring streak.

Zegras is +210 at bet365 to extend his scoring run to five consecutive games.

The 24-year-old already scored against the Sabres at the start of the month in a 5-2 Flyers win in which they fired 35 shots at the Buffalo net.

The Sabres are playing their first game coming off a six-game road swing and have been off since Sunday. There’s a real psychological factor to a team being sluggish in its first game after a long road swing and following a multi-day break.

But there’s also some credence in the Flyers being exhausted. After all, Thursday marks their fifth game in a seven-day span and three of those games went to overtime.

You can at least understand why the Flyers are a +125 money-line underdog at bet365, but a case could be made for them to be the favorite, which is why its a good spot to take them outright:

Buffalo appeared to have turned a corner during its road trip, but we’re still talking about a team that gives up 3.41 goals per game. The Sabres have been most susceptible to left wingers, which plays right into Zegras’ hands.

Buffalo allows the fifth-most goals per game to left wingers. Zegras is absolutely the main target for this trend, but I’d take a flier on Carl Grundstrom to score as well. The Swede has three goals in his last five games and sits at +600 to score at bet365.

I get it, though, if you want to keep it simple with Zegras. I wouldn’t bet too much else on Zegras because he’s only had five shots on goal during his scoring streak.

Buffalo’s Tage Thompson is on a four-game scoring streak of his own. If you want pair Zegras and Thompson together to score in a SGP, it pays out at +575 at bet365. You can also avoid this game entirely and try online slots with a betParx casino promo code.
