The Flyers will get a key piece back on the ice on Thursday night.
Tyson Foerster is set to return tonight in the Flyers’ matchup with the Detroit Red Wings, the team announced just moments ago.
Foerster was a participant at morning skate earlier today and slotted back into the top line with Trevor Zegras and Owen Tippett. Foerster was officially activated off of the IR today after suffering a pretty nasty upper body injury on December 1st that required surgery. The original timeline gave doubt in Foerster’s return at any point this season, but the 24-year-old is back to give the Flyers a boost on the wing of their top line.
With just eight games remaining on the Flyers’ regular season schedule, the push for the playoffs is in full force. The team currently sits two points back of a wild card spot and three points out of the last spot in the metro.
Porter Martone will make his home debut tonight at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Rick Tocchet confirmed this morning that Sam Ersson will be in net tonight.
