Opening Day: Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto Have the Phillies’ Best Career Numbers Against Nathan Eovaldi
Phils vs. Rangers at 4:15 p.m. It’ll be Cristopher Sanchez vs. Nathan Eovaldi to kick things off.
Note that the Phillies had some of the best numbers against right handed pitching in 2025. They finished with a .261 average, .332 on-base percentage, and .431 slug. Those numbers were 1st, 1st, and 6th in Major League Baseball. Their OPS of .763 vs. righties was fifth overall, behind the Yanks, Dodgers, Cubs, and Mets.
Eovaldi had a great 2025, finishing with a 1.73 ERA but battling injuries along the way, which resulted in him throwing just 130 innings. The Phils don’t have amazing numbers against him, though Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto lead the way:

Note that Eovaldi was shut down in late August last season and hasn’t pitched a game that counts in about seven months. He did pitch a typical amount of spring innings.
