Paul George Has Completed His 25-Game Suspension
Sixers news:
No ramp-up issues? Well you’d hope so, considering the guy is not injured. It’s been seven weeks since he last played, but unless he spent the entire suspension at Matvei Michkov’s house, eating Russian food, then he should be in decent enough shape to get back out there and start playing right away. PG averaged 32.8 minutes over 12 January games and poured in 15.8 PPG while grabbing five rebounds and tossing four assists. He was playing some good basketball when he went out, so hopefully he picks it right back up.
Let it be known that the Sixers went 13-12 during George’s suspension. They also lost Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey for large portions of that period, plus Kelly Oubre Jr., so it’s impossible to determine how much George’s presence would have changed their fortunes. Regardless, they are 39-33 with 10 games to go and the role players have kept the team afloat, currently 7th in the East and 1.5 games behind the 5th-seeded Cavs.
Do you believe? It’s time for the PLAYOFF PUSH.
