“Love Philly captures the heartbeat of this city—its people, history, and the way sports and culture bring us together like nowhere else,” said Gargano. “With the World Cup, All-Star Game, PGA Championship and America’s 250th anniversary converging, Philadelphia is stepping onto the world stage—and reminding everyone who we are. It’s a celebration of the grit, passion, and pride that defines this city and its fans.”
Gargano, one of Philadelphia’s most recognizable and trusted voices, will lead lively discussions, welcome special guests, and provide on-the-ground coverage and commentary as the city takes center stage globally. Known for his passion, authenticity, and deep connection to Philadelphia sports and culture, Gargano will guide viewers through a once-in-a-generation year.
“2026 is going to be a defining moment for Philadelphia, and we’re excited to build a show that captures the pride, energy, and nonstop action across the city,” said Todd Berman, PHLY General Manager. “With Anthony at the helm and Wawa as our presenting sponsor, this show will truly reflect the spirit of Philadelphia.”
The show will stream live and on demand across PHLY platforms, delivering daily coverage, interviews, and storytelling that highlight not only the major global events, but also the people, neighborhoods, and culture that make Philadelphia unique.
This looks like a summer vehicle for sponsorship and paid appearances. They’ve got Wawa backing it. I would expect Joe Schmoe from “(organization) Philly” to be interviewed, and why not? This is a good opportunity during what is typically the slow period in the Philadelphia sports calendar. It’s gonna be a banging summer in the Delaware Valley. We’re gonna BOOOOOOOOOOOO the visiting MLB fans and we’ve gotta find a way to link up with the Ivory Coast national team as they make Wilmington their World Cup headquarters.
Philly is the center of the universe.
