Dirty Penguin Evgeni Malkin somehow found a way to hit Travis Konecny in the face with two sticks at the same time:

They reviewed this and Malkin was indeed penalized for high sticking. Ray Ferraro was on top of it. You can see Malkin’s left hand on Risto’s stick, and Risto is a righty:

Malkin and dirty stick work go together like peanut butter and jelly inside of an Uncrustable. No one is really surprised to see this, it’s just a new an inventive method from the wily veteran. Someone pointed out on Twitter that Malkin is one of the most “underhated” opposing players of all time, and that’s a really good point. Why is that? Probably because he’s only the second most hateable player on his own team, behind Sidney Crosby. It’s hard to really stand out when Sid is being a big baby all the time. It’s like trying to find enough bandwidth to hate Cody Ross and Aubrey Huff at the same time during the 2010 NLCS. My God were they both annoying back then.

Flyers are up 2-0. That’s what’s important.
